Dear Ruth Brown Families,

Welcome to the 2017/2018 school year!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. I am Cintia Robinson, your new principal at Ruth Brown Elementary.  For the past 2 years I have been working as the Dean of Students and I am now honored to take on a new role. I am very excited to be here and look forward to an amazing year.

School will start on Wednesday, August 16 at 8:20 a.m. and classes will be posted outside the cafeteria doors on Monday, August 14th at 5 p.m. Our school day begins at 8:20 a.m. and concludes at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday is an early release day and school concludes at 12:05 p.m. We are fortunate to continue to serve free breakfast for all students. The cafeteria begins serving breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Please do not drop off prior to this time, there is no supervision for students until 7:30 a.m.  

In preparing for the new school year, we have created a suggested supply list and we have updated our Parent/Student handbook, both of which can be found on our Ruth Brown website http://www.pvusd.us/rbes/ and Ruth Brown Bears Facebook page. The supply list can also be picked up at the Ruth Brown office. The Parent/Student handbooks will be passed out at “Back to School Night” which is August 30th at 6 p.m. I hope you can join us.  

I will be having an informational meeting on Wednesday, August 9th at 5 p.m. in Spanish and 5:30 p.m. in English at the Ruth Brown cafeteria. I would like to introduce myself and discuss some of the changes here at Ruth Brown.
