Yellow Jacket 5k

The Palo Verde High School Associated Student Body and Blythe Area Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring the Yellow Jacket 5K Run/Walk on March 9. The goal of the day is to bring awareness to the many clubs and cultures present at Palo Verde High School, promote a healthy lifestyle, and provide the residents of Blythe an opportunity to interact.

Pre-registration forms are available at the Palo Verde High School office, the Blythe Area Chamber of Commerce, the Joe Wine Blythe Recreation Center, Halby’s and Yellow Mart. The pre-registration fee is $20 for all adults, $10 for any Palo Verde Unified School District student and anyone age 55 and older, and is due to the high school office by 3:30 p.m. on March 8. On-site registration will be available from 7-7:30 p.m. with the cost of $30 for all participants.

The race will start at the PVHS parking lot at 8 a.m. All participants will travel north on Lovekin Blvd. to 10th Ave. The course will continue on 10th Ave. to Elhers Blvd. heading south to Chanslorway. The course will continue on Chanslorway to Lovekin Blvd. and will end on the track of Scott Stadium. Palo Verde High School ASB hopes to make this run/walk and annual event and add it to the many great traditions of being a Yellow Jacket.
