CELL PHONE USE
Parents and students the District’s and School’s policy is that cell phones are to be turned off during the school day.
Having phones ring during instruction time is a distraction and can be a source of conflict between teacher and student.
If a student needs to call home because they are ill, they need to get a pass from the teacher and come to the office and use the phone in the attendance office.
Calls for homework, forgotten items, going to friends, etc. should be made before or after school.
If the phone is seen or heard, it will be confiscated and turned into the office and only the parent may sign to pick-it up. Please check our student agenda for the progressive disciplinary consequences.
No Phone 7:17 am – 2:20 pm
Parents /guardians if you will be sending someone to pick up your child from school, please call the office in advance or send the person with a written note from you. The note should include student’s name, name of person picking student up, date, your signature and phone number in case there are any questions.
Blythe Middle school is a closed campus. Only parents/guardian are allowed to take students off campus for lunch.
Back to School Night will be held on September 11th, at 6:00pm. Back-to-school Nights welcome and orient parents to the new school year. Parents also have the opportunity to meet school staff and become familiar with school procedures.
